James Stewart dominated the Orlando supercross for round 11 of the AMA SX250 championship and secured his first win of the season, Ricky Carmicheal secured a safe second to retain his championship lead. Injured Reed did what he could and resisted severe discomfort to his shoulder in order to minimize the damage to his championship campaign. After a mediocre start he was rewarded with a very hard-fought fifth position finish. The point standings have Ricky Carmichael in first with 237, Chad Reed in second with 229, and James Stewart in third on 214 points.
