More double podium joy as Stewart wins in Oakland

For the second consecutive week YZ450F technology made an impression on both SX and West Coast Lites podiums in the AMA Supercross series (also an FIM World Championship). The Overstock.com coliseum in Oakland was the scene of the fourth round of seventeen and also witnessed JGRMX's James Stewart earn his first victory of the year and first for his new team with the YZ450F.

Double podium result in Los Angeles

Yamaha YZ450F and YZ250F motorcycles were present on both podiums at a well-populated Dodgers Stadium near downtown Los Angeles for the third round of seventeen in the AMA Supercross series, also an FIM World Championship. 35, 741 spectators saw JGRMX's James Stewart pick up his first trophy of the season with third position while Monster Energy Yamaha's Zach Osborne continued to build his speed and momentum on the SX circuit and scored his first career rostrum finish with third place in the West Coast Lites class.

Stewart 8th at Chase Field

JGRMX Yamaha's James Stewart was one of the fastest riders around a tight and challenging Chase Field circuit in Phoenix for the second round of the AMA Supercross series (also an FIM World Championship) but a slip mid-race prevented the former champion from rising higher than 8th position.

The YZ450F racer set the quickest time in the first qualification session and produced an electric performance to win his Heat race.

Stewart gets 2012 campaign underway with 6th at Anaheim

The 2012 AMA Supercross series was launched in front of a capacity 45,000 crowd at the Anaheim stadium in Los Angeles last weekend and Joe Gibbs Racing' James Stewart took his YZ450F to sixth position in the opening main event of seventeen on the U.S. calendar.

The former Champion endured a dramatic first evening of the season. He had marked the fastest lap-time in the second qualifier but was undone at the beginning of the 20 lap sprint when a poor start left him deep in the pack.

Yamaha make Supercross impact with Bercy victory and Stewart confirmation for '12

A Yamaha YZ450F was wheeled onto the top step of the prestigious Paris Bercy SX podium on Sunday evening as American Kyle Chisholm grabbed rostrum results across all three nights at the capacity Palais Omnisports stadium in the French capital. Only a few days beforehand multi AMA Champion James Stewart confirmed his signature with the powerful JGR racing team to steer YZ450F technology in the 2012 AMA Supercross and Motocross series for what will be his fourth year in 'blue'.

Stewart ends 2011 AMA SX series in 4th

San Manuel Yamaha's James Stewart has finished the 2011 AMA SX series - also an FIM World Championship - in 4th position after suffering a crash and DNF at the seventeenth and final round of the competition in Las Vegas last Saturday. Stewart did not break into the podium positions for the title after an exciting and unpredictable campaign but he did capture five victories and was the first of four YZ450Fs in the top ten of the season standings.

After strong performances and back-to-back victories in the previous two rounds of the AMA Supecross series former champion James Stewart was edged out of this year's epic title chase as two falls saw the Floridian finish 10th in the Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.

Juts over 39,000 spectators witnessed Stewart grab the holeshot on his YZ450F and lead almost half of the main event until losing traction with his front wheel and crashing in a turn.

Stewart aces Seattle to set up thrilling series showdown

The 2011 AMA Supercross series is going down to the wire in what many are describing as the best championship in recent memory. San Manuel Yamaha's James Stewart won his second Main Event in succession last Saturday at a cold and damp Qwest Field in Seattle in front of more than 52,000 spectators. The former champion's recent spurt of good form means that four riders are split by just nine points at the top of the standings with just two rounds from the seventeen remaining.
