Last Valencia Testing Session Wraps up 2014 for Yamaha

Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi ended the third and final day of MotoGP testing in Valencia on a positive note, finishing third and fifth in today's session times.

Similar to yesterday, the seven hour long session started with a completely drenched track, forcing the team to wait for conditions to improve before heading out. With a little more than four hours remaining Lorenzo decided to join the action.

Downpour Postpones the Second Day of Testing at Valencia

Movistar Yamaha MotoGP has decided to postpone their testing plans until tomorrow after rain put action to a halt at the second day of MotoGP testing in Valencia.

Valentino Rossi was one of only eleven riders who braved the rainy weather at a soaking wet Ricardo Tormo Circuit. The Italian sensibly decided to wait for conditions to get better before mounting his 2014 Yamaha M1, saving the 2015 bike for dry conditions.

Lorenzo Leads First Day of Valencia MotoGP Testing

After having closed the 2014 season only yesterday, Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi were back on the track less than 24 hours later to successfully test the 2015 YZR-M1 machines for the upcoming season.

The Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team made the most of the beautiful weather at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit by starting the session with the 2014 machine. The data derived from this year's bike was used as a point of reference once they switched to the 2015 M1 at half point.

Rossi Scores Superb Second Place at Valencia Season Finale

Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Valentino Rossi secured a superb second place under difficult conditions during the 2014 season finale, the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit.

Starting from pole in what began as a dry race, Rossi took off as soon as the lights dimmed and arrived at the first corner in second place behind compatriot Andrea Iannone.

Renaissance Man Rossi Back on Pole

A super heated last qualifying session of the season at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit this afternoon saw Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Valentino Rossi rise to the top to start tomorrow's Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana from pole position. His teammate Jorge Lorenzo will start directly behind him from fourth place on the grid.

Season Finale Begins in Valencia

Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi were on track today for the first practice session of the last race of the season, the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana.

Lorenzo made a strong start this morning at the Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo Circuit. The Majorcan set multiple fastest laps and led for most of the session, before settling for second place just 0.193 from the front.
